About Helen Nguyen, REALTOR

Hello! 

My name is Helen and I'm a local Gwinnett REALTOR. I am in the business to serve my community. 

I come from a refugee family, immigrated from Asia in 1996 and has been a Georgia girl since. My parents came to the states with nothing more than a suitcase of some old clothes for us. They worked as laborers to provide for our family and put me and my sisters through school. We lived in an old apartment until my parents were able to afford a house. I remember, being a child, going with my parents to search for our new home. They did not know any English, and I served as the translator with my limited English learned from school. We did not know to hire a buyer's agent. We just drive around until we saw a listing we like, and I called the listing agent to make the offer for my parents. I was the one translating the loan documents, and the one at the closing table explaining to my parents what they were signing. I was twelve years old, but to this day, I remember how proud and excited my parents were. They have achieved something from nothing. 

I became a REALTOR because I want to be a part of that process for another family. I want to deliver that excitement, sort through listings just to find the perfect one, be there for the nervous moments, and celebrate the final day when keys are exchanged and the house becomes the home.  That is my job, and I hope you'd allow me to go through the journey of buying and selling houses with you.
