About Pup's & Paws Dogtraining LLC

Hello, I am Vanessa,

I always had pets growing up as a child and my love especially for dogs has grown into adulthood even more. Overall I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of dogs and their needs. Me and and my dog Kiba are both born and raised in Germany and together we participated in Mantrailing, agility and volunteered at a local dog training facility for multiple years. 2019 - after moving to Atlanta I continued helping other dog owners through behavioral issues, raising their puppy and giving general advice with their dog.

My Philosophy

I believe that dogtraining and learning to understand each other – humans and dogs – can make you build a incredible bond between you and your pup! With every training session the goal is to have a better understanding of how your dog learns, why it behaves a certain way and how you can efficiently change these behaviors with reward based and positive training methods. I do not use punishment tools, such as prong/ pinch collars, electronic shock collars or choke chains. Punishment tools like these are not only less effective than positive training methods. But they can also increase a dog´s fearfulness & aggression.
