Today, Oconee State Bank has 5 full-service financial centers located in Oconee County, Athens-Clarke County, Gwinnett County, and Macon-Bibb County, as well as a Corporate Headquarters located on Main Street in the heart of Watkinsville. In June 2021, the Wells Family Community Room was dedicated at the Headquarters facility.  H. Mell Wells served as President of Oconee State Bank from 1979 until 1986, and his family continues serving in various capacities across the bank today. As a visionary, Mr. Wells felt focusing on employees, their continuing education, and the use of technology would provide unparalleled service to customers.  The Corporate Headquarters houses the offices of bank wide support staff including Human Resources and Culture, Marketing, Retail Administration, IT and Operations, Loan Operations, and Finance, as well as the offices of the Executive Leadership Team. The vision of the founders continues today.
