 Summit Chase Animal Hospital has been in operation since 1996. We moved into our current facility in 2001. We provide a broad range of medical care for your pets in addition to annual preventative health examinations and vaccinations. We have a comprehensive senior pet wellness plan that is designed for early detection and treatement of common senior diseases.   Pets develop many of the same diseases that we see in humans (from diabetes to cancer).  We strongly believe that early detection can lead to more positive long-term outcomes in treatment of many diseases in our pets.  Our goal is to keep your pet living a longer and healthier life. 

     At Summit Chase Animal Hospital, we are equipped to provide many on-site laboratory tests including radiographs, ultrasounds, serum chemistries, complete blood counts, urinalyses, blood pressure measurement, glaucoma testing, and ekg's. We have access to outside laboratories to help evaluate more complex problems ranging from infectious diseases to endocrine disorders.   We have the capability to hospitalize your pet if the situation arises.  If there is a very critical case, we can refer patients to several specialty practices, all less than an hour's drive from our facility.  We refer our after hours emergencies to Eastside Animal 24/7 Emergency Center in Grayson.  The emergency clinic is fully staffed overnight and prepared to take excellent care of our emergencies.

     We perform most routine soft tissue surgeries and a few orthopedic surgeries on site.  We have a large, well equipped surgery suite with a heated surgery table to keep our patients warm during surgery. The vital signs (pulse, respiration, oxygen level, ekg, blood pressure) of all our patients under anesthesia for surgery are closely monitored by our well trained technicians. We use sterile techniques and sterilized instruments for every surgery.   All of our surgery patients are very closely monitored after surgery to ensure a smooth recovery from surgery.

     Our facility is designed so that our hospitalized patients are separated from boarders and grooms. We have a separate ward for very sick or contagious animals. We have separate kennel areas for cats and dogs. We even separate large dogs from small dogs.   We offer dog and cat day care so we can help watch your furry family members while you are busy.

     We offer boarding services for our patients.  All dogs are walked multiple times each day.  If you request special services like extra play time, or brushing, please let us know and our kennel staff will be happy to make your pets' stay here more enjoyable.

Our groomer is available Monday through Friday.  We recommend that you have your pets here before 9 am if they are coming in for grooming.   This gives our groomer plenty of time to make your pet look fabulous.
