Piedmont Eastside Medical Center and its South Campus has been a healthcare leader for more than 40 years, providing quality care to patients in Gwinnett and surrounding counties. Piedmont Eastside Medical is a 310-bed, multi-campus system of care offering comprehensive medical and surgical programs including cardiovascular, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, robotic surgery, rehabilitation, maternity with neonatal intensive care, behavioral health, bariatric, urgent care, and 24-hour emergency care at two locations (1700 Medical Way and 2160 Fountain Drive).

 Piedmont Eastside is accredited by the quality improvement organization DNV, as part of our dedication to improving quality, patient safety and healthcare delivery.

 Our medical staff of 500 board-certified physicians, 1,200 employees, and 65+ volunteers is committed to providing our community with a healthcare system of excellence. Eastside has received the 2022 Get with the Guidelines Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll, from the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association. The Breast Imaging and Diagnostic Center is designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the FDA. The hospital is also nationally recognized for patient safety, achieving a hospital rating “B” Grade.
