35 Years of Service to North Gwinnett
For 35 years, the North Gwinnett Cooperative has supported the community with consistent, compassionate assistance. Known for its commitment to treating every individual with dignity, the Co-Op serves residents of Buford, Suwanee, Sugar Hill, and surrounding areas through a wide range of essential services.
Founded in 1991, the organization has grown through strong partnerships with local churches, businesses, schools, civic groups, and dedicated volunteers. Its mission focuses on reducing hunger and promoting long-term self‑sufficiency. Each year, the Co‑Op provides food to more than 40,000 individuals and offers financial assistance with utilities and prescription medications. Children benefit from school supply programs, meal support during school breaks, and seasonal initiatives that bring stability during important moments.
What sets the North Gwinnett Co‑Op apart is its commitment to meaningful relationships. Children, seniors on fixed incomes, and families facing unexpected challenges are met with consistent care and respect. Strong leadership, transparent operations, and lasting community partnerships have sustained its impact year after year. The organization’s recognition as a 2025 Best of Gwinnett Award recipient reflects its long‑standing dedication to serving neighbors with integrity, compassion, and a shared belief in supporting one another.
