New Eats on Main Street!

Downtown Buford has a little restaurant shuffle underway. One longtime favorite has moved into roomier digs, a bakery’s preparing to take its place, and a new bowl-and-smoothie spot has landed right across the street.

For regulars of Main St. Deli, the biggest change is the address. The locally owned deli has moved from its longtime storefront at 60 E Main St NE to 554 W Main St, near the Tannery Row Artist Colony. The new location gives the deli more breathing room, with additional seating and an outdoor patio.

Same Sandwiches, Bigger Table

The move hasn’t meant abandoning the menu that built the deli’s following. Main St. Deli is still serving its lineup of breakfast, sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers, and bakery items. Current offerings include familiar deli territory such as the Classic Club, New Yorker, French Dip, and Philly Cheesesteak, alongside creations like the Tannery Chopped Cheese and Buford Bird Dog.

More room also changes what a stop at the deli can look like. There’s space to settle in rather than simply grab a sandwich and head out, while the patio adds an outdoor option when Georgia weather decides to cooperate.

Meanwhile, the deli’s former storefront already has its next act lined up. Pastry Parlor is coming soon to 60 E Main St NE, keeping food in the picture at an address downtown diners already know. According to their Facebook, customers can expect a variety of scones, baked goods, and seasonal treats. 

Across the Street, Something New

Just across the street at 75 E Main St NE, Wolfberry Bowls now has a permanent home. The name may already be familiar to locals who’ve spotted Wolfberry popping up at festivals and markets around the area. Its new Buford location gives customers a regular place to find its açaí bowls, smoothies, and crêpes instead of waiting for the next event. Diners can also follow Wolfberry Bowls on Facebook for updates.

Put the three developments together, and Main Street’s doing what healthy downtowns tend to do best: changing without losing its personality. A familiar deli’s found space to grow, its old storefront’s getting a new tenant, and another concept has joined the neighborhood just steps away. For Buford, that means a few more reasons to arrive hungry and see what’s changed since the last stroll down Main!
