Labor Day weekend in Braselton comes with a soundtrack: engines warming up, motorcycles ripping through the turns, and plenty of parking-lot conversation about what everyone drove in.
On September 5 and 6, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta hosts the WERA Regional Double Header, bringing two days of motorcycle action to the Winder Highway circuit. Saturday morning adds four wheels to the mix, giving car and motorcycle fans a particularly good excuse to make a day of it.

Start Saturday at Cars & Coffee at the Clubhouse, held from 9 a.m. to noon at The Driving Club at Road Atlanta, right beside the raceway. The monthly gathering is free and open to the public, so guests can bring a favorite vehicle, grab coffee, and talk cars. Keep in mind that The Driving Club is a private members club, so certain clubhouse areas, amenities, and experiences are reserved for members.
The setting does some heavy lifting here. Rather than meeting in an anonymous parking lot, the morning unfolds with Road Atlanta as the backdrop, which means conversations about horsepower happen within earshot of a track built for putting it to use.
Then comes the easy part: head next door and trade coffee cups for ear protection.
Two Wheels Take Over
The WERA Regional Double Header runs from Saturday through Sunday, with each day offering a different side of motorcycle racing. Saturday is a Track Day geared toward non-racers, giving riders a chance to experience the circuit without jumping straight into competition.
Sunday turns up the stakes with racer practice followed by the Sportsman Sprint double-header. For spectators, that means Labor Day weekend can cover everything from riders learning the track to racers chasing position through Road Atlanta’s famously demanding layout.
Camping is allowed during the WERA weekend, and children 12 and younger receive free admission when accompanied by an adult, making the two-day schedule workable for fans who would rather settle in than make another drive home.
