Downtown Lawrenceville just added a new place to sleep, eat, meet and linger. The Lawrence Hotel is now open, bringing 120 rooms, two dining concepts and more event space to the city’s growing core.

Located at 120 E. Crogan St., The Lawrence Hotel is Lawrenceville and Gwinnett County’s first upscale, boutique, full-service hotel. The property is part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection and was developed and is managed by NorthPointe Hospitality Management & Development.

For downtown Lawrenceville, the opening fills a practical gap. Visitors coming in for business, events, performances or family gatherings now have an upscale lodging option within the city’s central district rather than farther out along the interstate.

The hotel’s 120 rooms are only part of the equation. More than 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space gives companies, organizations and families another place to host everything from business gatherings to celebrations. A fitness center and multiple gathering spaces round out the property.

Dinner, Drinks and a Reason to Stay Awhile

The hotel is also giving locals a reason to walk through the doors even when they are not checking in.

At Bellfire, Chef Dominic Simpson’s menu draws from his Southern upbringing while incorporating Mediterranean culinary principles. That puts the restaurant in a position to serve both hotel guests and downtown diners looking for something beyond the usual room-service stereotype.

For drinks, Old Nick’s is the hotel’s courtyard cocktail lounge, serving handcrafted drinks in a setting designed to work as much for a local night out as for someone winding down after a day of meetings.

Taken together, those pieces make The Lawrence more than a new set of hotel rooms. It adds dining, meeting space and hospitality infrastructure to a downtown that continues to grow as a business and entertainment destination.
