Vets Helping Vets Event Hosted by HMUMC’s Military Support Group

Hamilton Mill UMC’s Military Support Group is hosting a special Memorial Day event to help military families and Veterans in our community navigate the VA system. All Veterans and military families are invited to this event filled with valuable information about local Veteran and military services available through Gwinnett and Barrow Counties. Our evening will include guest speakers and panel discussion with the GA Veterans Benefit Organization along with local veterans who are willing to share their personal stories. One of our Veteran families has appeared on CNN in a story featuring his family journey and use of a service dog through Paws4Vets.  In addition to the valuable information our speakers will share, we will have information tables with representatives from the Military Veterans of GA, Barrow County Resource Center, Gwinnett County Resource Center, Paws4Vets and HMUMC’s Military Support Group. Plus, you will not want to miss the Military Veterans of GA’s 70-foot display honoring all fallen GA vets. If you know any veterans or active military, make sure they sign up for this FREE event!
