My name is Milca Ortiz. I’m originally from Puerto Rico. I’m married to a wonderful man named Fausto Matos Rojas. I have 2 kids: Victoria Baez (13) and Vincent Baez (7), and two stepchildren named Sebastian Matos (13) and Sofia Matos (9). We are a christian family who believe in Jesus Christ our savior. I came to Georgia on 2019 to work as a Police Officer for MARTA Police Department. I worked there for around 2 yrs. During that time I was pursuing a Master’s in Business Administrations in Human Resources, which I completed in 2020, Summa Cum Laude.  I completed a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Ana G. Mendez University in Puerto Rico in 2016. I decided to study something related to the beauty industry because I had always wanted to do Permanent Makeup but It was not the right time to do it. I studied a Cosmetic Tattoo Course in 2022 at Lovett Beauty School in Forest Park GA. I named my business The Brows of Frida. I wanted to call it Las Cejas de Frida because my first language is Spanish but my husband insisted on doing it in English. This concept was created because first of all I love art and the painting of Frida Kahlo are one of the most passionate and intriguing that exist. She was know by her painting but when someone says Frida Kahlo they remembered her uni-brows. That’s why I wanted to name my business like her because its all about Brows even I work on lips as well. I started this journey like everybody; asking for models, those first models helped me to become the artist I am today! One of the first peoples that trusted me and gave me the opportunity to start this beautiful journey was Beauty Secret Spa by Belen. She believed in me since day one. Now I moved to another location at House of Brows in Lawrenceville, with Melissa. I know we’re going to achieve a lot of good things in our careers by working as a team. My goals has always been to be better every day, demanding the best of me to give my clients the best service I can give to them. The service that I offer are Ombre and Powder Brows, Microblading, Combo Brows, Brow Lamination, Brow tinting (henna), Lil blush and Lips Neutralization. I hope this nomination will help me to be know and searchable in Gwinette County.
